Last week, Kevin made the
BEST carnitas. Now I know I'm a Missourian living in Maryland so I may not hold as much weight as someone from California or even Mexico. But, I AM a foodie. This recipe, folks, is the REAL deal.
Note: we DID add green chiles to the crockpot and then browned up the shredded meat in a cast iron skillet while reducing a lot of the yummy juices to further infuse the flavors in the meat. We'll DEFINITELY make this one again.

Also doubled the seasonings, and also re-seasoned once in the skillet. Served with squeezed lime, cilantro, green onion, white onion and optional habanero sauce.
